Saturday "Stuff"

The new rig
So I did get to go out today and drive around in the new "ride". This baby is SWEEEETTT! I loved my Beetle and will enjoy the good times I had driving her around and celebrating my (then) midlife crisis, but once the "crisis" passes, it's time to get serious again and buy that luxury sedan! Joe and I will have a rather portly car payment now, but I guess -- that's life! This new "freedom" I am finding in just letting the day take care of its OWN worries has really been amazing. We make enough -- we get it done, so why worry? The Lord has been faithful in helping us attain some goals at a pace we can afford, so I am done with worry and fret and hand-wringing.

Biscuit is our 3 1/2 month old Mini Australian Shepherd pup and he has been such a little blessing! But going through the "terrible twos" of puppyhood right now and those little scissor teeth can't fall out soon enough! He has such an incredible talent for herding already. I can see it in how he plays, the concentration and focus he has on objects he goes after, and the physical grace and coordination. Can't wait to get him on some stock at some point.
Biscuit
We do go to Puppy Pre-School on Monday nights at Spokane Dog Training Club, as this is where I spent all those years with my beloved border collie Cody, who was my "champ" in obedience. Biscuit does come to us courtesy of Lexus and Linken at Flocks Mini Aussies. The folks there are wonderful breeders, and are also Christians who delight in their dogs and pups. Biscuit's litter name was "Indigo" because he has the most amazing blue eyes you will ever see! And they will stay blue.
So now it's time to watch some more college football -- a couple more games on! It's kind of quiet when the Huskies don't have a game and how I miss those days of just "watching" the game and being a fan! All the post-game work, note-taking, editing, uploading photos, etc. It kind of takes away from the joy of just being a fan sometimes! But I can't complain. Right now I'm watching ASU dismantle UCLA but I have a feeling that UCLA is going to make a come-back in this one! My good friend Scott is the linebacker coach at UCLA as is my old pal Eric Yarber (receivers coach) and Demetrice Martin (DB coach) so I always kind of pull for the Bruins to do well -- except when they're playing Washington! Here's a quick verse for the day:
Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these." -- Matthew 6:28, 29
